Cerebral Palsy

Cerebral palsy (CP) is the most common cause of motor disability in childhood (2-2•5 / 1,000 live births) and is caused by a non-progressive injury to the developing brain. Most cases of CP are acquired with evident etiology (i.e. prematurity, asphyxia, intrauterine infection, etc). However, there are CP participants for whom there is no apparent etiology for their motor deficit, requiring further testing.
